Farsala

Farsala is a town in the regional unit of Larissa, situated in the heart of Thessaly, Greece.

It is located in the southern part of the prefecture, about 45 kilometres southwest of the city of Larissa, at a key point connecting Thessaly with Central and Southern Greece.

According to the 2021 census, the municipality of Farsala has around 9,000 inhabitants. It is an important administrative, economic and agricultural center with a long historical and cultural tradition.
